This Privacy Policy describes how Freedom Path ("the extension", "we", "us") handles information when you use our Chrome extension.

1. No Data Collection

Freedom Path does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. We do not operate any servers that receive data from users.

2. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The extension stores the following information using Chrome's local storage API, which keeps data exclusively on your own device:

• Your streak start date and longest streak record
• The total count of sites blocked
• Urge journal entries you choose to write
• Your custom blocklist additions
• Extension settings (e.g. blocking enabled/disabled)

This data never leaves your device and is never accessible to us or any third party.

3. Permissions Used

• storage — to save your streak, journal, and settings locally on your device.
• webNavigation — to check URLs before a page loads and redirect blocked sites.
• tabs — to redirect the active tab to the blocked page when needed.
• alarms — to keep the streak counter accurate in the background.
• Host permissions — to check every URL against the local blocklist. No page content is ever read or stored.

4. Third-Party Services

Freedom Path does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

5. Children's Privacy

Freedom Path does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.

6. Changes to This Policy

If we make any changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
